REMEMBER: Optional Site visit February 24th

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 24th: Optional site visit to Northerly Island to check out our site, see hoe the site plan will work out, and where our stadium will be laid out. At 1:00pm, we will all meet at Adler Planetarium, 1300 S. Lakeshore Drive, at the end of Solidarity Drive in the downtown Museum Campus. We expect the visit to last for about and hour and a half, so dress for the weather!

Meeting #15 Preview: Final Models

Starting this week, we'll begin to model our final site and stadium designs...both physically and with the help of 3D modeling software. REMINDER: IF YOU WOULD LIKE THE MENTORS TO REVIEW YOUR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS, PLEASE BRING THEM WITH YOU FEBRUARY 21nd.

IMPORTANT DATE REMINDERS!

Here's a list of important dates for the rest of the ACE year...

FEBRUARY 14th: Mentors hand out scholarship/internship application materials. Please email Laura at - TeamOneMentors@gmail.com if you would like the materials electronically.

FEBRUARY 24th: Optional site visit to Northerly Island (meet at Adler Planetarium-see Laura for hand out with map if you did not already receive one).

MARCH 2nd: Scholarship/internship applications due (hand in to mentors). NO EXCEPTIONS. March 2nd is a Friday. You are welcome to hand then in at our meeting time Wednesday, February 28th.

MARCH 10th: Field trip to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. More information to follow.

MARCH 22rd: End-of-the-Year Presentation at Blue Cross Blue Shield Building, 300 East Randolph. Parents are encouraged to come.

Meeting #14 Preview - Construction Scheduling and Continued DD

We'll press forward with the Design Development of the Northerly Island site, and Olympic Stadium. Also, the folks from Power Construction (Alena, Todd, Jason, PJ and Brian), will be showing us the details on developing a construction schedule.

2.7.07 - Meeting #13: Final Project Design Development

Three teams have been determined: site, core and shell, and interiors. Each will work individually on their portion of the stadium and site, but will have to coordinate between groups to develop one comprehensive design...AND thanks Jonathan and Tanya for showing us that Bears and Colts fans can get along!
