This year's corporate luncheon was held at the Palmer House Hilton in the Loop. There was a GREAT turnout, and we were happy to have some representatives from Team One present. Please remember that your scholarship applications are due no later than Friday, March 2nd. Thank you to those of you handed them in on Wednesday. If you are planning on submitting, you will have to make arrangements to drop off your scholarships at DeStefano and Partners' office at 445 East Illinois Street, attention Matt Snoap or Laura Klancnik. We are unable to accept scholarships next week, so make every effort to get them to DeStefano and Partners by 5:30pm Friday.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 24th: Optional site visit to Northerly Island to check out our site, see hoe the site plan will work out, and where our stadium will be laid out. At 1:00pm, we will all meet at Adler Planetarium, 1300 S. Lakeshore Drive, at the end of Solidarity Drive in the downtown Museum Campus. We expect the visit to last for about and hour and a half, so dress for the weather!

FEBRUARY 24th: Optional site visit to Northerly Island (meet at Adler Planetarium-see Laura for hand out with map if you did not already receive one).

MARCH 2nd: Scholarship/internship applications due (hand in to mentors). NO EXCEPTIONS. March 2nd is a Friday. You are welcome to hand then in at our meeting time Wednesday, February 28th.

MARCH 10th: Field trip to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. More information to follow.

We took a deep breath this week to regroup, and to revisit our final design concept.
By the end of the session, we were able to split into three groups: core and shell, interior design and layout, and site design.
Pat O'Connell was our special guest of the week, and we found out the she's an Olympic Basketball alum, has her name in the cornerstone of the St. Louis arch, and her real name is NOT Patricia!

Because elements from each scheme impressed them, they have chosen several elements from each to be represented in the final design. This evening, we will finalize our design concept based on the Olympic Committee's selections.
